相傳，克里沙斯的茫茫沙海是在泰坦與混沌魔神的上古戰爭中形成的。如今，克里沙斯的主要居民是獸人和哥布林，但也不乏人類和其他種族。在這片金黃色的巨大沙漠中，精彩的冒險故事和神秘的上古寶藏吸引著無數顆堅定而貪婪的心。
龍鱗沼澤是星墜海域東邊的廣闊沼澤地，棲息著以蜥蜴人為主體的大量冷血鱗甲類種族，這裡曾是巨龍們最為重要的棲息地，也是眾多暮年巨龍的埋骨之地，如今廣袤潮濕的沼澤中仍然蘊含著充足的元素能量，它們來自巨龍們脫落的鱗片。相傳，這裡仍然生活著神秘而數量稀少的龍裔。
原本是聖光帝國西南角的一個行省，因為貿易發達，文化開放，吸引著來自世界各地的冒險者。因為觀念和信仰的差異，當地居民與帝國的衝突愈演愈烈，最終釀成了血案。帝國任命的行政長官被推翻之後，這個實力雄厚的行省脫離帝國，宣佈獨立，逐漸發展成如今鬆散的城邦聯盟。
聖光帝國的開國皇帝吉爾伯特曾經是聖王卡洛斯的部下，因為戰功赫赫而深受卡洛斯的信任。在聖王去世後，吉爾伯特憑藉自身的威望和卓越的領導力實現了聖王未竟的功業，建立起強盛的聖光帝國，完成了整片大陸的統一。
拉塞爾曾經是這片大陸上最強盛的王國。雄才大略的拉塞爾王卡洛斯東征西討，讓分裂的人類諸國重新聚集在十字火焰的旗幟下，被世人尊稱為「聖王」。如今的拉塞爾不再輝煌，但在拉塞爾人的內心深處，依然為那些輝煌的過往而驕傲。
因為混沌魔神的入侵，精靈古老的家園在一場巨大的爆炸中被夷為平地。隨著時間流逝，這個荒涼破敗的島嶼逐漸恢復了生氣，混沌魔神的信徒們聚集在這裡，成立了一個全新的組織，他們稱呼自己為末日教，他們堅信混沌魔神會重新降臨，摧毀這個腐朽而虛偽的世界。
千年以前，家園被毀的精靈們遷移到希爾凡森林，獸血部落接納了他們。但之後的數百年中，因為精靈濫用奧術導致西部森林被污染，精靈們陸續遷移到東部森林。信仰星辰的精靈族把這片沐浴在熠熠星光下的美麗森林當作了新的家園，親切地稱呼它為「精靈森林」。
在矮人的神話傳說裡，這片廣袤無垠的冰原是泰坦的墓園，埋藏著永不枯竭的元素能量。矮人在冰天雪地中建立了群山王國，由四大氏族聯合執政。除矮人之外，泰坦冰原上還廣泛分佈著大大小小許多個自由民部落，這群粗獷好戰的自由民被稱為「雪地野人」。
